mobile marketing

Almost everyone in this planet have their own mobile phones as well as most marketer also shifted their method from traditional into mobile marketing method. 

What is mobile marketing?

Even though there are varieties of definition for the concept of this method, mobile marketing is broadly defined as “the use of the mobile medium as a means of marketing communication”. Meaning company advertise their products through mobile phones.
Mobile marketing is increasingly becoming more popular since the rise if the SMS or short message service. Companies then started to collect mobile phone numbers and send unwanted content to numerous mobile phone users.

Because of its popularity way of advertising there are frequent issues came out. Several mobile advertisers sent without a required permission from the consumer causing privacy violation or deducting of cell phone load balance without prior notice from the consumer.  
As a result most telecom companies updated their rules and regulations concerning unsolicited commercial communications. Consumer privacy must be protected and marketers must be able to understand the ethics in advertising.
